I'm a yoga teacher, so I don't need a new year to work on self-improvement projects like
better health and wellness. I know what I'm supposed to do, works for me to feel my best, and every day I do my best for that day. Nothing magic, just ongoing practice, and never perfection. But 2018 was a "sabbatical" year for me, a quiet year to study and write, after 9 years of full time teaching and owning a studio. So it made sense to set some proper objectives as the next phase begins.
Resolution 1: Read more for pleasure in 2019
Resolution 2: Finish the book.
Resolution 3: in the year of the pig, I will eat no pig.
Over the past few years I’ve been deleting more and more meat from my diet. It is not as hard as you might think. In this category, it’s really only occasional bacon now and sometimes ham in a breakfast sandwich. I deeply love bacon, but I love our planet more, and pigs are awesome before they become bacon too.
